Actualmente pertenece a Espacio SXXI, liderada por Andr\u00e9s \u201cBetingo\u201d Sanguinetti y Evaristo Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su familia est\u00e1 vinculada a grandes dirigentes: su abuelo, el Dr. Julio Mar\u00eda Sosa, fue presidente de la instituci\u00f3n carbonera entre 1921 y 1928, per\u00edodo que se caracteriz\u00f3 por un marcado crecimiento institucional. Su padre fue delegado bajo la presidencia de Washington Cataldi, entre 1973-1984 y 1990-1992.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gast\u00f3n ha demostrado estar a la altura de sus antecesores logrando destacarse principalmente en la AUF, sobre todo demostrando conocimiento jur\u00eddico, presencia en la Asociaci\u00f3n y buen relacionamiento con sus pares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Es por esto que cuando surgieron los candidatos a ocupar un lugar en el Ejecutivo, su nombre tuvo m\u00e1s fuerza pese a que sus \u201crivales\u201d estaban calificados (Rodolfo Catino, Marcelo Areco y \u00c1lvaro P\u00e9rez). La \u00fanica duda que hab\u00eda en el club reca\u00eda en desarmar la delegaci\u00f3n, ya que junto a los Dres. Juan Antonio Rodr\u00edguez y Gonzalo Moratorio, se hab\u00eda formado un buen grupo de trabajo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finalmente se opt\u00f3 por Gast\u00f3n Tealdi en el Ejecutivo, por capacidad de trabajo, relacionamiento con Ignacio Alonso y tambi\u00e9n por ser reconocido entre todos los grupos pol\u00edticos como una gran persona (tema no menor). Tealdi expres\u00f3 en A Fondo, Radio 1010 AM: \u201choy la AUF es totalmente distinta, mucho m\u00e1s abierta, con nuevos actores que tienen poder de decisi\u00f3n. Estoy muy agradecido al Presidente Dr. Jorge Barrera y a todos los integrantes de la directiva.
