Pe\u00f1arol jugar\u00e1 por cuarta vez la Copa Sudamericana, torneo que tiene como slogan \u201cla otra mitad de la gloria\u201d. Es el trofeo que falta en las vitrinas del club. Se comenz\u00f3 a disputar en 2002 y solamente tiene un bicampe\u00f3n: Boca Jrs.<\/p>\n

Se da la particularidad que ser\u00e1 la primera vez que Pe\u00f1arol juegue este certamen sin ser \u201cUruguay 1\u201d, ya que en las ediciones anteriores (2004, 2010, 2013) hab\u00edamos clasificado tras haber obtenido los Campeonatos Uruguayos 2003, 2009\/2010 y 2012\/2013. En esta ocasi\u00f3n clasificamos por haber finalizado quintos en la Tabla Anual, tras un p\u00e9simo Torneo Apertura.<\/p>\n
